At Commando Experiences, we firmly believe that the values and standards that are instilled in Royal Marines Commandos can be transferred and taught to help people with their social, emotional and educational development, as well as improving their talent for leadership and improving their decision making skills.

Our flexible programme offers outdoor educational experiences that deliver values and benefits no other company can offer. Our mission is to provide outdoor educational experiences that promote personal growth, build resilience and confidence, increase team/class cohesion and leave participants with a sense of accomplishment. In short: teaching children and young people invaluable life lessons through sport, adventure and fun.
Our programme has a wide range of great activities that make learning fun by allowing students to learn without realising it. This keeps participants of all ages interested, engaged and craving more.
Commando Experiences staff can either travel to your school, or host you at our woodland area in Thistleton, Lancashire.

Commando Experiences staff recognise that schooling isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ model and that every school in the UK has students who struggle to connect with mainstream educational and teaching methods for many different reasons including adverse personal experiences and circumstances, their own social and emotional wellbeing and home environment.
Our staff know this not just from working with schools, but also from their own experiences in full time education, because of this, we have a real desire to support, assist and guide young people during their secondary education. As a result of this desire, we now offer a service called Commando Coaching© aimed at helping pupils to make the right decisions concerning their education and their future.

Commando Coaching© sessions are goal orientated but student led, allowing for an increased level of student engagement with mentors who offer a lot more than a positive male role model figure. Commando Coaching© offers students our unique Commando Attitude© that is designed to enhance their social, emotional and educational development as well as improving their decision making skills. We also aim to help students to become more self-aware and responsible as well as encouraging them to understand the importance of attending school and being aspirational and ambitious.
